I would like to share my most recent books that were published!
"Jesse Robredo was mayor of Naga for 19 years. He was a good, honest and hardworking mayor who led by example. He believed that every Nagueño must do for his or her own part in helping make the city a better one. Jesse was also a sweet husband to his wife, Leni, and a cool Papa to his daughters, Aika, Tricia, and Jillian. Their happy home was always filled with love and laughter. One day, the President of the Philippines invited Jesse to be part of his cabinet, so that Jesse could continue to do good work for the Filipino people. This is the story of how Jesse’s honesty and integrity inspired millions of people to live better lives themselves." (published Feb 2013)
"This is the story of how a young girl from Manila dreamed big, worked hard, sang her heart out, and became an international superstar. Lea Salonga is an actor and a singer who has performed on stages all over the world. She has won many great awards! She is most famous for her role of Kim in Miss Saigon. She is also the singing voice of two Disney heroines—Princess Jasmine and Mulan. She is every bit a princess because of how she has always followed her heart." (published Oct 2013)
So...yes, it was a productive--albeit stressful--year. Now that the last book is done, I feel like my brain has gone into permanent vacation mode. I actually have my weeknights and weekends back, and my brain is still slowly re-accustoming itself to the concept of free time. At the moment I am currently marathoning Breaking Bad (now at season 4, yo!) because everyone around me keeps bugging me to watch it. Someone also gifted me The Walking Dead on Steam for my birthday (lol) so I am playing it. I am such a chicken that I just have to freak out every time a zombie appears. x_x
Also, there will be a book signing event next week for Princess Lea, and hopefully I'll get to meet Lea Salonga for realsies!!! Super stoked, but at the same time I am also dreading being a part of the Q&A panel. Public speaking is not my favorite activity in the world. Fingers crossed that I don't forget how to speak coherent, intelligible sentences at the event.

UPDATE Nov 18, 2013:
So, the book launch event yesterday went well! I got to sit beside her while we signed books together, and it was such a treat listening to her humming and singing along to the background Disney music that was playing during the event. Aaah, one of the happiest days of my life. * U *
When I look back on all the things that brought me to where I am right now, I just feel reaaaaaally thankful and lucky.

My second children's book!
Maia's Birthday Party is finally out! It was launched by Adarna House at the Manila International Book Fair last Sept 14, 2012, and I had a wonderful time meeting the author Yvette who was really nice, and the little girl whom the book was based on-- the real Maia! She was soooo cute!
Maia was adopted as a baby and the story tells of her growing up in a happy home with her new parents. It's a cute little story, with translations in English and Filipino on the same page.
I busily worked on this and other commission projects for the most of June up until August, hence the lack of updates here on DA during that period. I've always want
Exhibit Artwork
I currently have an artwork up at Ayala Museum as part of Ang INK's (our local children's illustration group) 20th Anniversary Exhibit!
The title is "Dreaming of the Sea" and I apologize for the blurry photo.
It is a somewhat late announcement since I keep on forgetting about this journal thingy on DA. *cough!* But do not fret, there is still time! The exhibit has been going on since November and will be up until January 15 before it goes on a nationwide traveling exhibition as part of the Ayala Museum's Education Tour!
If you are in Metro Manila, please do visit. I am not so sure if there is an entrance fee, but in any case everyone did s
Halfsies
Hey hey, would anybody be interested in splitting a DA premium account with me? A one-year account costs $30 but with the give-one-get-one-free promo we can split it to $15 between the two of us!
I have to know by today, so please message me if you're interested! :la:
Update:
Yay, thanks so much `Icesis (https://www.deviantart.com/icesis)!
Candy School Planner
I almost forgot to announce that the school planner that I illustrated for Candy Mag is out! ♥ They did such a great job with it, I am ecstatic! ♥ It's got illustrations for each month and a lot of stickers and doodles sprinkled about! If you live in the Philippines, please do buy one! (^v^)
